Blueprint LSAT co-found Matt Riley discusses the best way to decide whether or not to cancel your LSAT score. After taking the LSAT, test takers have a short period of time in which to decide whether or not to keep their score. Unfortunately, you cannot see your score before you decide to cancel it.

Matt first advises not to cancel your score the day of the test as its likely that your perception of how you did will be skewed by the stress and exhaustion of taking the LSAT. He then discusses the ramifications of having a cancellation on your record for law school admissions. Matt then goes into detail regarding the best way to calculate (as closely as possible without having the test in font of you) how many questions youre likely to have missed on the exam. Going through this exercise will help test-takers find the range of scores theyre likely to have achieved on the LSAT. In turn, this will help them decide whether they have a chance at the score they want or if its beyond their reach and they should cancel.

Finally, Matt discusses whether or not law schools average LSAT scores and how this factors into your decision about canceling your score.
