Join Blueprint LSAT Prep owner Matt Riley as he discusses whether or not you should take the LSAT again.  Not everyone has a perfect test the first time around and many students take the LSAT and receive a score with which theyre not happy.  This could be because of test day anxiety, or perhaps a particularly difficult question threw you off your game.  Whatever the reason, you should not feel bad that your LSAT score is lower than you wanted it to be, but you should take the time to realistically assess whether or not you want to take it again.

Matt discusses the criteria you should consider when contemplating taking the LSAT again.  Because law schools typically accept applications on a rolling admissions basis, applying earlier is usually a better idea.  Weighed against this consideration is the fact that the LSAT score is such an important part of the law school application that a higher score is typically worth the wait.  However, you also need to be able to gauge the likelihood of increasing your score.  While LSAC research indicates that students can increase their scores, its important for students to identify what theyll do differently the second time around.  If you werent able to study often because of a job or other commitments, will you have more time on your second attempt?  These are all considerations Matt will help you navigate as you decide whether or not to take the LSAT a second time.
